YONKERS -

The third storm in less than two weeks is expected to bring up to 5 inches of snow to the Hudson Valley by Tuesday, most of it during the morning commute.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory from midnight through noon Tuesday.

Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester counties could see 3 to 5 inches of snow. Southern Westchester and New York City can expect 2 to 4 inches.

Snowfall may be most intense during Tuesdays morning's commute, so officials are urging people to take extra time and drive carefully. Scattered snow showers could continue to appear throughout the day.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with the chance of a few more scattered flurries. Skies will clear up with temperatures in the 40s to round out the week.

Latest NAM brings another intense nor'easter up the coast, with pressure falling to at least 970 mb as it passes the cape to the east. Expect snowfall forecasts to start increasing through the course of the day.
