Former Supercoach winner Robert Bruns runs his eye over the necessary trades for round eight.

Listen up because this top Supercoach gun not only boasts a title, but a runners-up medal as well.

BRUNSY’S BIG DECISIONS Reimis Smith CTW - $177,300

#reimis smith

Average: 55

Last Round Score: 84

Average Minutes: 80

Breakeven:  -49

Verdict: Coming off a score of 84 at a dirt cheap price, Smith is the name on everyone’s lips. Beware though, a previous round score of 25 and the reality that the Dogs won’t be playing an injury-depleted Knights side each week means that Smith could well be the next coming of Kurt Mann.

Final say: BUY, only if it frees up a lot of cash though. Wouldn’t go sideways.

Ryan Matterson 2RF - $572,700

Average: 65

Last Round Score: N/A

Average Minutes: 80

Breakeven: 71

Verdict: News that his wrist injury is recovering slower than expected has me nervous. And will he even slot straight into the starting side? Probably not.

Final say: Sell for players going for an overall ranking, but for H2H players it all depends on what cover you have in the centres

Rhyse Martin 2RF - $418,500

Average: 67

Last Round Score: 63

Average Minutes: 77

Breakeven: 20

Verdict: This is for non-owners. Forget the missed opportunity and see Martin for what he is – a keeper at $418K. Martin currently has the ninth highest average out of all players who have played five games or more. Now that he’s locked in as an 80-minute goal-kicker, his stock will rise significantly.

Final say: BUY

Aidan Tolman FRF - $373,500

Average: 38

Last Round Score: N/A

Average Minutes: 46

Breakeven:  34

Verdict: Still on Bulldogs players, this one is for the left-field POD hunters. With Woods off to the Sharks, Tolman now starts in the front row. A base stat machine who can play big minutes, you can’t ask for much more for $373K

Final say: I like this as a BUY for overall players as he could play big minutes this weekend with David Klemmer out due to Origin

Ryan James FRF - $719,500

Average: 67

Last Round Score: 99

Average Minutes: 76

Breakeven: 43

Verdict: Three consecutive huge scores makes James possibly the most in-form Supercoach player in history. His price is high but if you can get him in without tearing your team apart then why not?

Final say: BUY, only if you’re cashed up and can get him in without losing a keeper

Andrew Fifita FRF - $569,200

Average: 67

Last Round Score: 53

Average Minutes: 61

Breakeven: 99

Verdict:  A dip in minutes and Supercoach form has many panicking.  Come the end of the season though everyone will want him in their side.

Final say: If you’ve got trades to burn then maybe I can make sense of SELLING. H2H players should definitely HOLD

Kalyn Ponga FLB - $598,100

#Kalyn Ponga injury

Average:  68

Last Round Score: 5

Average Minutes: 76

Breakeven:  83

Verdict: Only injury has made Ponga a trade-out option. For me it all comes down to who you have as cover at fullback.

Final say: If you have Turbo or Teddy then for me Ponga is a hold. If your other Fullback is a nuff then a trade to RTS makes sense
